'I couldn't recommend Maya more highly. She was so easy to work with. Always responded quickly and politely. We ordered tarts and cakes for our wedding. Non only did they look utterly fantastic. They were delicious. We had mushroom and herb tarts. The pastry was crisp and the mushroom filling was strong yet subtle with the flavour of the herb. We also had a Rose & Cardamon Cake  and a Chocolate. Amaretto & Pear Cake. In terms of decoration they were both a work of art. They were perfect birthday cakes for our Mum's. 'Miss Tortology cakes and cupcakes are just astonishing! I love the wide range of flavours. From the very rich and creamy options to the subtle and delicate range of flowers and fruits options - like lemon, mimosa or lavender. I haven't tried them all -yet! - but I probably will!

So far some of my favourites are the the Blueberry and Ricotta Tart and the Chocolate, Amaretto and Pear cake. Miss Tortology's strength is her ability to find the right balance. Everything seems to be measured to perfection: not too sweet, not too heavy, not too dry, not too moist...just right! I usually find cakes, tarts and cup cakes too sweet and heavy. But this is not the case with Miss Tortology! I believe her passion, experience and knowledge for the craft make the difference!

I highly recommend to try Miss Tortology': she will impress your guests not only with the unique taste of her creations but also with the class and beauty of her arrangement.  If you want to try something typically Italian you cannot miss her Tiramisu': you will probably be surprised in discovering what a Tiramisu' should really taste like! When we talked about the cake, Maya asked me what I liked and we had a chat about the flavours and colours I like but I did not have a concrete idea about what the cake should look like. I left it to Maya's imagination! All I requested was my two favourite flavours: chocolate and orange, and some nice autumnal colours as my birthday is in September. 'Miss Tortology made a fabulous cake a couple of weeks ago for my birthday. It was a triple decker cake and each layer was a different shade of raspberry sponge, sandwiched with coconut milk cream to take account of my dairy intolerance.  It was decorated as a garden with a lawn of pistachio nut grass, fresh flowers and candles. 'Maya made a beautiful cake for my birthday! It was an incredible surprise for me and for everyone as not just the presentation was amazing but also the taste and flavours with a distinct quality!
